Wisco Rolf is Wisconsin’s own troubadour of truth, blending soul-stirring music with a lifelong passion for liberty and the common man. Born in Whitewater and shaped by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Rolf dove into the works of Galileo, James Madison, and the mathematics of music, forging a worldview that celebrates reason, freedom, and the power of a good tune. Inspired by Madison’s vision of limited government and individual rights, Rolf’s music and activism are a call to connect with the heart of America.

A veteran of the political trenches, Rolf cut his teeth in the Libertarian Party during the 1990s, rising to a leadership role in 2002 during Ed Thompson’s trailblazing campaign for Wisconsin Governor (which earned Ed Thompson over 10% of the vote – a historic feat). By 2015, Rolf’s libertarian spirit found a new home in the bold, outsider energy of Donald J. Trump, a shift that surprised allies but reflected his knack for challenging the status quo. A Twice supporter of Ron Paul for President – Rolf became a fervent Trump Republican, organizing “Pints & Politics” meetings for the Dane County GOP, distributing thousands of books on liberty and history at events, and producing radio ads for Wisconsin candidates. His grassroots hustle has made him a fixture in Dane County’s political scene, where he’s as likely to spark a debate as he is to strum a chord.

Rolf’s music, born in the studio in 2022, is a love letter to real-life struggles and triumphs.
